Todd's talk circle on MSNBC is raking Obama over the coals over the Russian interference thing.

We all know that if Obama had come out more forcefully, and walked over Mitch McConnell, it would have energized the Republican troops. That's because they wouldn't have listened to Obama. They would have listened to McConnell and Trump as they accused Obama of partisan interference. You can bet that's how it would have gone down.

We need to take this experience and blast it in the faces of the Republican and start a rally cry of "Never Again." We know that Republicans are wilful palpitators for the right. Easy to mobilize to shout down any sound decision. So the lesson here is, we shouldn't wait for them to come to their senses when we know the facts are in order.

1. McConnell himself said he would us it against Democrats right before the election.

The information was there. I knew about it. Anyone following politics and the elections knew about it. The only thing Obama did was not make it a club to bash Clinton with for the Sanders left and Republicans.

3. Looking over the timeline I think the information came out strong after the primaries.

But, I agree that Obama probably concluded correctly that the Republicans could be counted on to accuse him of abuse of power, and of course, of aiding Hillary Clinton.

The only good that has come out of this is that we now have a good example to throw in Republican faces to justify the next time something difficult comes up.

It was not part of the feeding frenzy that was all reality TV show and emails.
