I was watching a HBO documentary on Bush Pere.

I did freaking cartwheels when Bill Clinton beat him but the guy was a gentleman. What a drastic difference from the cretin in the White House.

They showed President Obama giving him the Medal Of Freedom. Maybe Trump will give one to Vladimir Putin or Richard Spencer.

George HW Bush pardoned Caspar Weinberger, Elliott Abrams (who still haunts the corridors of power in DC), Robert C. McFarlane, Clair E. George, Alan D. Fiers and Duane Clarridge just days before they were to go on trial for Iran/contra. It is widely suspected that had the trial gone forward, Bush would have been shown up as a liar when he said he was out of the loop on the arms-for-hostages deal.
