Kellyanne Conway: Trump will ONLY kill Medicaid for "able bodied Americans not poor, sick, needy."

“Also, Medicaid continues to be funded,” Conway continued. “Medicaid over time would be unsustainable and unaffordable because ObamaCare failed to bring the costs down for healthcare, so the states are having very difficult time meeting the bills. Medicaid is intended for the poor, the needy, and the sick.”

She went on to claim that Obamacare grew the people on Medicaid, while the GOP healthcare plan seeks to get people off the plan who she said shouldn’t be on in the first place.

“What it’s done under ObamaCare it’s expanded the Medicaid pool of people who, quote, qualified beyond that. So if you have an able bodied American not poor, sick, needy,” Conway said. “We’re not talking about the elderly, the children, the pregnant women, the disabled. If you are able-bodied and you would like to go and find employment and employer-sponsored benefits then you should be able to do that.”

Trumpcare would actually put a cap on Medicaid spending, so if there was no more money available for children, pregnant women or the elderly, they wouldn’t get care either.

Look, she even had me questioning things for a second. My first thought was Medicaid is for the sick, poor, and needy. My second thought was is Medicaid for the sick, poor, and needy? My third and final thought on her comment was, yes, Medicaid is for the poor, sick, and needy. These people are trying hard to make us believe that our eyes are lying to us.

It must be people like my cousin, a Vietnam era vet with severe mental health problems. He is a big guy, he jogs a lot as a way to stay at peace, so he looks to be in pretty good shape for a man his age. He looks normal, and for days or even weeks at a stretch he can behave like everyone else, but then something will set him off and he goes into a ripping rage. He lives in a group home and they know how to manage him, but there is no way that he could hold a job or interact with the public. His family is worried about Trump cutting his Medicaid and VA services, they are lower working class themselves and they don't have any extra money.

They're the kinds of people who track the behavior of a neighbor they know to be 'on disability.' And when the rest of us are talking about news, weather, favorite tv shows, these people chronicle what they saw their 'disability drawing' neighbor do last week.

The forcefulness of their jealous rage when their fellow peons get something they AREN'T getting - well, it's just astounding to me

My daughter and her boyfriend both had jobs last year that did NOT offer health insurance. Full-time jobs with no insurance because the companies were small and the employers chose not to or could not provide insurance. My youngest daughter is also fully employed with a small company with no health insurance - she gets hers through us until next January 31. She is planning to start a new job in October because she needs insurance once she turns 27.

Honestly, Kellyanne can go fuck herself.

Aware as I am about the pifalls of arguing with an idiot, Conjob conveniently avoids the proposed dropped mandate on employers to provide coverage.
So as far-fetched as it may be for (in particular) a person 45 or older to simply "get another job", it's also far less likely that that job would offer HC as a paid benefit.

aspect is there now. Health care costs go down with preventive care. She's so stupid she is saying no preventive care for poor people, even if they work but don't make enough, and that leads to higher costs in the end.
