When will Republicans realize that Trump is willfully sabotaging their agenda?

This is not a side effect of incompetence or mental illness.

Trump needs to keep Congress in a constant state of turmoil to ensure that they cannot do anything but rubber stamp his agenda of working for Putin.

Trump has been delegitimatizing all the other power centers by calling them "enemies" and discrediting them. But Congress is a special case for the would-be dictator: Republicans are on his side.

So he declares Trumpcare dead, then revives it when congress starts on tax reform. He doesn't campaign for the bills, in fact telling Republicans that without his support they will never pass.

He is not about to start empowering Republicans by supporting their agenda. See compliant legislature in demagogue's playbook.

He's not about governing. He is about destroying all other centers of power.

He's not willfully sabotaging the GOP. He just doesn't give a fuck about the people working for him. DetlefK Jun 2017 #1

If Trump hires you, you do the job.
It doesn't matter if he knows what that job entails.
It doesn't matter whether you are qualified for the job.
It doesn't matter whether Trump sabotages your work.
You. Do. The. Job.

And if you fail at your job, "despite" Trump showing no interest in you succeeding at your job, then you get blamed and fired.
