(297,788 posts)"McAuliffe said in a statement theres no evidence of significant voter fraud in Virginia, and the only irregularity in the 2016 presidential election centered around Russian tampering.
At best this commission was set up as a pretext to validate Donald Trumps alternative election facts, and at worst is a tool to commit large-scale voter suppression, McAuliffe said."

(5,803 posts)is reference to the other irregularity in the 2016 election, i.e. voter disenfranchisement via Interstate Crosscheck as practiced by Kobach and his stooges in GOPee-run states.
The Democratic party needs to be more forthright in acknowledging what happened.

(10,843 posts)While we were ruminating and commenting on Trump's disgusting tweet this morning, we find out this letter was released requesting voter registration info on all voters in the country. And who but Kris Kobach, the Wizard of Crosscheck, just happens to be leading the charge? What a coincidence, a true coinky-dink.
Think it might be called the undermining of democracy. But that's just me.

(14,167 posts)They have set a standard for other states to follow.
Refuse to comply and force them to take it to court, which would offer the opportunity to get certain parties under oath and figure out what they are really up to.
