(16,864 posts)Her home is locate in a very nice subdivision not far from me. Most of the homes are run of the mill mc-mansions that we built on the grounds of a historic plantation. Don't get your hopes up seeing that house from the road though because Black ensured a gated portion to her end of the community. The gate also prevents anyone from ever seeing the historic plantation that was preserved when the community was developed. The only way to see her monstrosity is from the lake. Here's the front:
She's not even from this district. While the majority of the district is suffering under the policies of the GOP, she plays on their evangelical/gun loving tendencies for vote and stays in office. She's despicable.

(16,864 posts)The house is on Old Hickory Lake. The houses behind her gate are also large but not that big. The main portion of the subdivision are homes situated around a golf course and the average size are 2.5-3.5k square ft, which are big houses with plenty of space. The appalling thing to me is Black ran ads last fall that portrayed her as this blue collar mom. The ad shows her in the driveway of a modest ranch house and suggests she just finished working on her car, implying that was her home. Now, she may have been blue collar years ago, but clearly she's not now.

(10,495 posts)They always over-reach and they have really stepped in it this time hitching their wagons to Trump and thinking they were going to have all of their wishes come true, as if they don't have enough. It is never enough for people like that which is why they go too far.
They screwed up. They were getting what they wanted incrementally. Their propaganda was working, and now they are trying and to take the rest all at once. Their cover is blown and we need to kick it up a notch to guarantee everyone knows that it's not the poor, minorities, the elderly or the disabled, it's greedy bastards who will never stop trying to take everything we have.
Their days are numbered, they are reduced to cheating to stay in power. Kris Kobach can kiss our ass because we are watching him now! They already have the MSM, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce (with their corporate donations), Plutocrats dumping billions. They use religion, law enforcement, tort reform, and the bought and paid for political minions that are supposed to be OUR REPRESENTATIVES, and it won't be enough!
It takes this over-reach, the injustice, and their open pure unadulterated greed to wake us up and mobilize us. They have done it now! I have 2 out of 3 kids that are teachers and I will be damned if I let these bastards screw them over so you hang in there!

(23,248 posts)You should have passed on helping children, and absolutely should not have gotten sick! If you had gone to tRump University and made something of yourself, you wouldn't be in the situation you're in now. And if you had pillaged and plundered like Little Donny, you'd have a house like that. (no soul, but you'd have the mansion.) Yeah, shame, shame, everybody knows your name!
