So there is no government. The whole plan is to completely bow the deficit into the stratosphere so the interest eats up everything with nothing left to govern. Remember the meme about growing the government. Anarchy works if you have all the money.
If you examine their policies and their economic agenda you can come to no other conclusion. Leaving the US destitute is really what their goal is. You cannot sustain what they want to do without impoverishing a huge part of the population.

I have always maintained that the reason the W admin was so gung-ho for invading Iraq was to bankrupt the US. He got a long way down the road, the Republican congresses stalled most anything Obama tried to do to reverse that.
But driving the US to bankruptcy has been an unmentioned Republican policy for this century.
Another policy is to bankrupt our citizens so they can no longer pay taxes or Medicare and SS taxes.

(36,747 posts)Many will see their life savings gone in a matter of days. They will try capital controls, but that will simply lock people into the devaluation irreversibly.
The military will not be unified unless one of their own leads the coup d'etat. The longer this problem festers, the closer we get to military rule.

(841 posts)Govern irresponsibly, cut budgets and put people in charge of departments that don't even believe in the mission statements of those departments and then when everything goes to hell say "see, government doesn't work" then proceed to make even more cuts and privatize public assets.
The sad thing is that so many Americans buy into this narrative. So many people want superb public services but want to pay next to nothing in taxes and resent actually paying public sector workers good money so that you can attract competent people to deliver those services. Republicans take advantage of this mindset and get people to blame government for all of their problems when in reality they are just sabotaging the public sector in order to sell it off to their rich friends.

(16,883 posts)What better way to sow disfuction in government than to place the very people into positions of power who would love nothing more than to dismantle the regulations that prohibit them from making the last bit of profit off the backs of those who can least afford it!!
