We Are Getting On More Dangerous Ground As Trump Seems More Unhinged.

With Trump threatening to sabotage the health care system himself and cause chaos and failure in the system, we are lurching toward dangerous ground. If he trashes the ACA it should be the last straw. Yet I am not sure the GOP will do anything. N anything they will support it.

One wonders how long we can go on like this.

Impeachment calls will go viral. He will have defied his oath-- that the laws be faithfully executed.

When:

1. Your taxes are under scrutiny.
2. Your privileged children overstep their bounds and are about to implicated in your crimes.
3. You were delusional enough to think giving some one a job would buy loyalty.
4. Seeking the assistance of oligarchs more viscious than you would not bring down wrath when you do not deliver (just look at your history of bankruptcy).
5. Substance matters more than style and your act will eventually wear thin on the suckers that support you.
6. Even the class of people who might benefit from your policies get tired of your chaos.
7. Thermonuclear War is nothing to play around with when you are an ignorant ass and there are actors far more ruthless than you who will put you in line.
8. Even though you have loyal supporters most people in this country really do hate you and what you stand for.

No one actually fears him. There was a good article on Raw Story recently that addressed this...no one fears him, not even White House Pages. They play him, they do end runs around him, they avoid him, they humor him, they kiss his ass (which he lives for).

But no one fears him. He was going to "drain the swamp," he was going to "shake up Washington," and as his attack rhetoric is now being shifted in the direction of career Republicans, they will tire of it eventually.

They have Pence. The chances of Pence being a Presidential contender for the masses in 2020 are slim...especially if Trump is removed and Pence carries out the Ryan / McConnell agenda. Of course, there is no way for me to authoritatively make that statement without knowing who our candidate will be. Barack Obama had charisma to spare...he came on the heels of 8 years of Bush / Cheney, when people were fed up and ready for change. We're going to need someone with a similar degree of impact. It won't be enough to simply run against Trump's negatives. We'll need solutions, and we'll need someone with the experience and determination to actually do the job that is nothing but a goof to our current "President."

I don't know what it's going to take in order to chip away at Trump's "base." I've said all along that he'll need to hurt them dramatically...either via healthcare or his determination to destroy the "safety net" he vowed to protect. More importantly, they'll have to know it came from him. Trump will place as much blame for his own actions on Obama, for as long as he can get away with it. Many of his supporters get their "news" from Fox, and from his tweets and "rallies." Opening their eyes will be a challenging task at best, and for some, it will be impossible. They've been hypnotized.

Thankfully, he is pretty much all bluster. Even his "transgender ban" is being ignored by the military.
