A crisis in the republic of Appalachia

Hey all was talking to my brother last evening. He was informing me that a new sub shop has opened up in the town we grew up in. To describe this small place of rural beauty as a kid it was great place to grow up. People were employed by the steel mills. But today it is waltons mountain with opioids plague, and plenty of trump supporters. Out of five boys four of us left , my brother stayed to open up his medical practice in 93. The citizens are concerned over the opening of this new sub shop my brother informed me that the owners are from Pakistan several people we know we're talking to him Saturday evening at the vfw. He found it rather amusing as our sense of humor is the same.

As a resident who lives in ground zero of the opiod epidemic at first glance I saw Sub shop in Appalachia and your mention of the opiod problem as you referring to a new suboxone clinic opening up in your old home town.

Because there are dozens of sub clinics around my area, and get this, most of them are staffed with foreign Doctors, many of which are Arab.

When you send off a bunch of kids to a place where the poppies grow by the hectares you can only expect one thing.
Back in my day they sent us off where the pot was potent and a bunch of us came home looking for weed. Smoked the devil weed for 45 plus years. still would if not for my health

The Weed had nothing to do with my health problems either

right through some of the reddest counties in the state. Portable meth labs in the National Forest, toothless 30 year olds in WalMart, young people walking around with dead eyes. Very few services for this epidemic, but let's be concerned about foreigners opening a business in this piece of Appalachia. It's crazy and so insulated here.
