I recall everyone being up in arms because NSA was "snooping" on our citizens. I hope we now know that's not at all what they do. Instead, what they do is watch those not our citizens. Like Russians who send emails to our candidates' sons. Like Russians who have their banks communicate with servers in the same building where our presidential candidates live and work.

I think, literally because of Two Scoops, we can start to see that the intelligence communities really are working to protect the nation.

3. There is legitimate use for intelligence gathering, clearly.

I have a problem when "extracurricular" spying data is fed, say, to the DEA, so the guy who says "come smoke a bowl with me in the basement" on the phone finds a SWAT team breaking down his door.
