The "g" has been officially eliminated. Every one who is using it, no matter how they might otherwise be expected to pronounce "doubling" gets all folksy and shit when they get to the "g". All of them are using the term in the context that "the Obama campaign has no record to run on so they're "doubin' down" on the Bain nonsense."
