(7,633 posts)are we going to bomb guam ourselves before NK can ? Makes no sense. A better thing would be to make sure ww have thaad systems there that are operational. Fly the damm bomber near the nk border instead. Better yet, figure out an appropriate response that does not involve escalading further.

(17,984 posts)Pilot to copilot, "Reach your hand out there Johnny and catch that missile that's dropping in on Guam."
I do not look for any diplomatic solutions coming out of our country. Hopefully, a country with more sense will step in.

Andersen Air Force Base (AFB) (IATA: UAM, ICAO: PGUA, FAA LID: UAM) is a United States Air Force (USAF) base located approximately 4 miles (6.4 km) northeast of Yigo near Agafo Gumas in the United States territory of Guam. Along with Naval Base Guam, Andersen AFB was placed under the command of Joint Region Marianas on 1 October 2009.[3] The two bases are about 30 miles apart at opposite ends of the island. Administration offices for Joint Region Marianas are about half-way in between, at Nimitz Hill.[3]

A pair of US supersonic bombers have flown over the Korean Peninsula, less than 48-hours after North Koreas successfully tested an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM).
Flanked by South Korean fighter jets The B-1 bombers carried out a low-pass over the Osan Air Base, near South Korea's capital Seoul.
The military aircraft took off from the Andersen Air Force Base in Guam and flew to Japanese airspace where they were joined by Japanese F-2 fighter jets, the US Pacific Air Forces said in a statement. They then returned to base.
