Trump says, "I never tell what I'm going to do..."

Right. So now, he's raising the bar on his threats against NK. MSNBC is talking about his latest remarks at his "summer home." "Maybe fire and fury isn't strong enough," he says.

Trump is doubling down on this nonsense. He's painting himself into a corner, it seems. Either that or bricking himself into a wall. I'm not sure which, but it's not a good thing. Really it's not.

I don't like the sound of this one bit.

"Do Something Big to North Korea!"

Mattis: "What would you have me do, Mr. President?
PINO: "I don't know, but make it tremendous, you know, the likes of which nobody has ever seen. Something like that..."
Mattis: "You'll have to be more specific, Mr. President."
PINO: "I don't know. Don't you have bombs and things you can use? Some sort of ray or something?"
Mattis: "No ray, sir. No ray. We don't have any sort of ray thing yet."
PINO: "Well, you have to do something big. I promised, you know, "fire and fury."
Mattis: Yes, sir. Give me a month or two and I'll get back to you with some plans..."

4. Does this not assume that Trump himself knows what he will do before he opens his mouth?

One could argue that Trump is bluffing, but the success of that depends on how Kim and his people read the situation.

...Are the repeated calls at DU for a military coup, based on panic. I am greatly encouraged by the vigorous pushback such posters are getting, but they go on and on and on, never giving up on the idea that the overthrow of the US government is the solution to our present dilemma with Trump/North Korea.

The best that can be said of these people, imo, is that they are succumbing to utter panic and have lost their minds.

Just now listening to DT's presser on MSNBC. The last person who spoke to him must have told him that we have to "de-nuke" the world. He babbles.

I may be full of shit but I can't imagine all those Generals around him allowing him to go as far as nuclear. I just don't. Mostly because it's the last thing any sane person wants.

I do hope, though, that they can shoot a missile down if Kim Jong un lops one anywhere other than into the ocean.
