BY Kenneth Lovett
ALBANY City Councilman Jumaane Williams is the latest name to surface as a possible 2018 Democratic primary challenger to Gov. Cuomo.
The Brooklyn Democrat, considered one of the councils farthest left, on Sunday told the Daily News hes been approached by various people asking him to think about a run for governor.
Williams did not rule it out, even though he said right now he is 100% solely focused on running for the City Council speakership that opens in January.

The problem is Williams has a history of being against abortion and gay marriage. He won't be getting my vote with those positions.

(68,643 posts)Now is not the time to primary sitting Democrats. We have an emergency on our hands...with a Trump presidency and a Gop congressess...a Gop could win New York if Cuomo is damaged in a primary.
