on white supremacists, KKK, Nazis, etc. Nothing. He had to have it beat out of him with a thousand sticks. And he read it as if a vise was being tightened on his nuts. He is without a single moral stitch, incapable of even faking leadership, a rotting bloated puppet, stupid as cardboard, an unhomogenized abomination of a president. When this dimwitted lummox goes down, every decent person in the world will celebrate. Then we'll deal with the next idiot, Pence, that sack of puritan hypocrisy, the very embodiment of the banality of evil. But first, may Trump be hounded from every angle and direction by a plague of ravenous bedevilments until he runs screaming from the White House that he and his evil carnival clan have defiled.

(115,706 posts)He was pissed off as hell and he couldn't even fake sincerity - someone said the "press conference" looked like a hostage video. He did it only because he was somehow persuaded by some advisors - maybe Jared and Ivanka, who might have been uncomfortable as the Jewish children of a guy who wouldn't denounce Nazis by name. It certainly wasn't at the behest of Bannon or Gorka.
This might be a turning point. I sure hope so.

(25,183 posts)was that finally, somebody figured out how to get a vise around his nuts. Let's face it, we haven't seen that for the two years that he's been in the public eye.
I could give a ding dong damn about what he said, too, but I'm intrigued at the exact mechanism applied. Was it Ivanka sobbing on his sleeve, or was it John Kelly threatening to quit if he didn't mouth the right words for the camera? Or was it someone with influence over him that we really haven't thought about yet?

but he defied them... So it may be "Ok, you were right"

(25,183 posts)admits he was wrong, not from a logical thought process, anyway. At this point, I'm waiting for a story to come out either about how Ivanka, identifying as Jewish, really got to him about Nazis, or how John Kelly, who knows how the military feels about Nazi Germany, threatened to blow off his administration.
When has he ever gone back on anything he's said? When given an opportunity to backpedal, he usually doubles down.

(25,183 posts)what he'll do the next time someone gets his nuts in a vise. Clearly, he doesn't think that he was effective at undoing the damage, so I predict this is the last backtracking we'll ever see on his part.
