It's actually illegal in the state to fire someone over political beliefs.

that ruined lives and careers, I take little joy in this.

Most of these jokers are under 25, not grown up at all, and think they found their "tribe." They sucked at school and with jobs drying up quickly, even in retail, they've really got no hope for much of a life. They blame equal employment opportunity (which still underpays everybody who isn't a white male) for the fact that they can't find work that pays enough to live on. They're wrong, of course, but that never stopped a dumb kid, especially a white dumb kid.

Yes, there should be consequences for being an asshole and looking for a fight. However, I don't feel this stuff should follow them around forever. That would only convince them that they're correct.

That doesn't apply to their leaders, nor does it apply in the ones photographed assaulting people. The former need the money followed and cut off and the latter belong in jail.

They'll start thinking ahead in about 5 years or so. At that point, they need an opportunity to repudiate the bullshit and kick their jerkoff "movement" buddies to the curb.

in the service of Nazis and white supremacists.

They can have all the opportunities they want, but like those tattoos they ink themselves with the scars will be visible and they will have to work hard to overcome the poor decisions they made, they need not be coddled from the consequences of their actions.

These grown ass adults know what they're doing is wrong, violence is wrong and they choose wrong.

I'm white like them but I don't share their economic privileges, even today. I've had to build up myself as someone who is worthy of employment, scraping by, and here these adults are, traveling across the US to do some protest for a statue organized by trust fund babies.

There are a lot of agriculture jobs open now. I mean gee I know it is hard work but if you are true men you can do it....oh, wait, true men...that's the key word and that you are not. WHY ARE THEY NOT TAKING THE JOBS THEY CLAIMED WERE BEING TAKEN AWAY NOW THAT THE JOBS ARE THERE FOR THE TAKING?

People got black listed back then for harmless political views, or most often were victims who didn't even have non traditional political views.

They did no violence, stood for no group that promoted violence or hatred.

These people might be 20, but they either committed heinous acts of violence or stood in line with those who did, one of them drove a cat into people, killing one and seriously injuring many others.

In their actions alone, they deserve the consequences that come with them. Further, this is useful toward the aim of possibly having these idiots think twice about joining in with these events in the future.
