It is time for the 25th Amendment

I hate Pence and all he stands for but Trump has to be removed and removed fast.

This is not normal.

We cannot wait.

We should be pushing for a 25th amendment invocation as soon as possible.

This cannot go on without the country sinking and he will sink it and take us all down with him.

If the GOP and the Senate cannot understand this, we, the people need it to be known.

The same cabinet that heaped praise on his "great leadership"

He has 4 days to refute, and then congress can make the decision based on 2/3 majority I believe.

Aug 2017

Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.

Thereafter, when the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that no inability exists, he shall resume the powers and duties of his office unless the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive department or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit within four days to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. Thereupon Congress shall decide the issue, assembling within forty-eight hours for that purpose if not in session. If the Congress, within twenty-one days after receipt of the latter written declaration, or, if Congress is not in session, within twenty-one days after Congress is required to assemble, determines by two-thirds vote of both Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall continue to discharge the same as Acting President; otherwise, the President shall resume the powers and duties of his office.

---

It's the "Congress may by law provide"... and the question is... since there is no existing law, could Congress pass one to establish a "commission on presidential fitness to hold office" and would the current President have to sign that law or would Congress then have to pass it over his veto.

That's my plain reading of the section... but I'm not a lawyer or Constitutional scholar.

Probably why so many rethugs support him. They're whores too, will do anything for a buck, even auction their children's future.

Because he stands for Trump's beliefs and actions, but could actually get Congress to rally around him because he's more of the "establishment" then Trump is.

he is a conventional conservative (although on the rightward edges, especially with respect to social issues). I don't think he would hire guys like Bannon, Miller and Gorka, or members of his family. Trump has no actual political beliefs or principles; he believes only in himself. He is dangerously mentally disturbed in a way Pence is not. Pence is manageable.

that is the only thing I can think of after today. He may be right though - he can shoot someone in Times Square but now it is the R's who will still back him.
