Fuck off Jimmy Fallon

I hate the FU threads, I really do, but I despise Fallon more

Fallon is more culpable than Comey for this debacle for the simple reason that tens of millions have no idea who Comey was but saw Fallon go to extreme lengths to cozy up to Trump and make him look like a regular guy.

At the time Trump appeared on Fallon he wasn't the eccentric playboy business man he had articulated a lon g list of racists and other statements of bigotry.

Fallon has been weak ever since compared to Myers, Colbert etc, although I only get Fallon second hand as I will never watch the SOB again. Too little and way too late. Anything he says now is only to save his own worthless hide.

More than any other major celebrity Fallon framed him as a regular guy.

He did it to save his ratings

I had to listen to it twice to make sure he criticized trump, and he did. He will lose some from the right because of that

I've never enjoyed his late night hosting. I find him wooden and most of his jokes are terrible. Every week I go to YouTube to see the new Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Meyers and Conan stuff, but I avoid Fallon like the plague.

Home of Fallon and The Apprentice, they did perhaps more than anybody to legitimize the Orange Blob as some kind of superman whose place it is to sit on his ass and judge others.

from whom? from what?

I think you're taking the thing a little too seriously - the people who enable him are in the White House and in the voting booth.

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/17/arts/television/jimmy-fallon-tonight-show-interview-trump.html

The resurgent interest in left-leaning programming hasn’t helped Mr. Fallon, a former star of “Saturday Night Live” who has built his brand on his all-around entertainer’s skills and down-the-middle tastes. And as Mr. Fallon is well aware, viewers haven’t seen him in quite the same light since an interview he conducted with Mr. Trump in September, which was widely criticized for its fawning, forgiving tone. In a gesture that has come to haunt the host, he concluded the segment by playfully running his fingers through Mr. Trump’s hair.

. . . .

Once the interview was broadcast, Mr. Fallon said, “It all started going crazy.” A barrage of negative social media posts gave way to damning appraisals in publications like Variety, where the critic Sonia Saraiya asked: “Who wouldn’t Fallon interview with such fawning, giggly acceptance? Where would he draw the line?”

. . .
She added, “How long will it take before American audiences lose all their faith in him, as an honest person they can watch every night?”

He has lost enormous cache in his industry as a top tier personality. He makes money for NBC but not nearly as much as before. Yes he will be employed and rich, just considered the light weight he is.

As for enabling, ask the next 10 people you stand next to at the supermarket if they know who Jimmy Fallon is and who James Comey is. So far in my experience it is 10 to 0

When he has a famous politician on, he doesn't get into partisan or political stuff. I'm also okay with that.

what people saw in him. Whether it's the fucking up every other shit he was in because his lame ass couldn't contain his laughter like everybody else. Then this current gig he for some reason has to fake laugh at everything his guests say. And he's just not particularly funny. Except maybe for some decent impressions.
