How Can We Believe GOP Outrage When They Have Pushed Racial Resentment/Anger For Decades?

How can we believe the "fake outrage" over Trump rhetoric from GOP legislators when they have pushed racial hatred with race baiting, racial code, pushed racial resentment et al for so many years. Now they are pushing an anti minority agenda and policies that will diminish, hurt and even kill people particularly minorities.

Nazism is the ultimate manifestation of what the GOP has use and pursued and actually still pursue. Nothing has changed with the GOP when you look at their legislative agenda, their voter suppression and gerrymandering. They are all white supremacists.

but now that the simmer is turning into a hard boil and people are getting hurt, they want to know how to put the brakes on.

ETA: So it's metaphor hash, it's late.

All of the condemnations have been vague "Nazis are bad and we don't need them" nonsense. Almost none of them addressed the fact that a white nationalist now leads their party, and even fewer of them have pledged tangible action to distance themselves and the party from Trump and the white nationalist base.

If anything, the GOP have quietly but firmly admitted that they are a white nationalist party.

How did the country heal after the Civil Rights era? We made an effort to change.

Not every Republican wants to see themselves as Nazis. Some will look hard in the mirror now. We probably need to "go high when they go low" like Michelle Obama advised us to do. Hard to want to do, but as Lincoln said "A House divided cannot stand."

Two great voices. Add to them Rev. Dr. ML King's words "I have a dream." Let's all share that dream.
