Since he was "country" I did not come to appreciate him until I was much older and the more I learned about him, the more my respect and admiration for him grew.

Peace

It made me sick to see that SOB wearing a shirt with Johnny's name on it.

And it makes a fiery ring
Bound by wild desire
I fell into a ring of fire.

I fell into a burnin' ring of fire
I went down, down, down
As the flames went higher,
And it burns, burns, burns,
The ring of fire, the ring of fire.

The taste of love is sweet
When hearts like ours meet.
I fell for you like a child
Oh, but the fire went wild.

I fell into a burnin' ring of fire
I went down, down, down
And the flames went higher
And it burns, burns, burns,
The ring of fire, the ring of fire.

Johnny performing live with Frank Zappa on the 88 tour. Johnny's wife was sick so Johnny couldn't make it, but they played the song anyway. Both great Americans artistically and morally.

Start the vid about 4:20, unless you like zappa instrumentals.

I loved the movie "Walk the line"

I felt he was a nice person, having empathy and being compassionate.

They do a fine cover "Ring of Fire". Mike Ness their lead singer made sure the audience knew he thinks Trump is a POS with a picture Trump as a clown on stage and his words to that effect.

Leaders of the National States' Rights Party, a white supremacist group in Alabama, seized on the photo, which, when reproduced in grainy newsprint, made Vivian look dark-skinned and possessed of facial features some considered African American. Whether outraged by the apparent miscegenation or eager to get back at him for his protest stance in the song "Ira Hayes" (Native Americans were also a target of white supremacists), the group reprinted the photo in its newspaper the Thunderbolt and undertook an aggressive campaign against Cash.

The group urged its readers to boycott Cash's recordings and referred to Cash's "mongrelized" children.

Fearing a backlash among fans, especially those in the South, Holiff launched a counteroffensive. He contacted Vivian's father, Tom Liberto, asking for a copy of Vivian's marriage certificate —which would state her race as Caucasian — and a history of her bloodlines. Liberto sent him the marriage certificate and a letter in which he detailed Vivian's Italian, Dutch and English heritage. The material was sent to the Thunderbolt.

My grandmother was Irish looking with blue eyes. One of her sisters passed and they ignored each other on the street. I saw that picture she looks like a "passé du blanc".

Reading that kind of made my day. We have a lying racist sexist serial liar fraud in the White House. We are the joke of the world.

Of course if we were like other democratic nations, where the person with the most votes win, we would not be in this mess.
