I'm in a wait-and-see mode myself with fingers crossed.

It's almost too delicious a thing to think it could actually happened.

Of course trump needs to be removed but I thought if it were to happen it would be the kicking-and-screaming-and-possibly-strait-jacket variety.

Now that would be delish, with video at 11:00.

No, check that. That story would be so y-u-u-u-u-g-e they'd newsflash into all programming immediately.

everyone before he resigns. He only needs to get Pence to pardon him. Pence will promise that in a heartbeat, because he so wants to be president, and because the Republicans really, really want Pence to replace Trump before 2018.

It would be to our advantage if it happened closer to the 2018 election but that would mean having to endure trump for several more months.

that he undermines the Republican agenda, but simply by contrast Pence will be seen positively by inattentive voters, and Pence also is more likely to help get the Republicans' bills passed.

He also will probably help GOP candidates in 2018, whereas Trump is more likely to energize our voters.

and lack imagination. IMO, we're just in the very beginning of it all. This election will have decades of consequences. I can see him dying for health reasons (or cocaine overdose) before resigning. No he won't let himself to get impeached without destroying the country AND the world.

general election, would resign by now, etc. If he ever really thinks of resigning, it will be to avoid impeachment or he becomes too ill to continue (physical illness, not mental illness because he's already there).

Highest crimes as he could possibly be, he's been caught red-handed, and he'll have virtually no defense.

He's just grandstanding at this point - getting the most out of this very temporary job (or opportunity - as he sees it).

After he resigns, he will claim the evidence was rigged - that he was framed by the establishment that wanted him out because he was going to do so many great things to improve this country for the oppressed white people of America.

He will remain visible on his Trump TV website - or perhaps get his own show on Fox News, and remain the darling of the hardest of hard right.

...but it's exhausting him and exposing him to more ridicule than he can stand. I don't know if the resignation will be soon, but it has to be on his mind. Pardons from Pence could make it so easy for him to walk away from the job he never wanted.

I mean, I think. But I keep being wrong.
