McAuliffe calls for removal of Confederate monuments in Virginia

1. He previously vetoed a bill passed by the Repub legislators

Prohibiting localities from moving statues. Alexandria wanted to move a Lee statue to a museum but could not without the legislature's approval.

Maybe in this climate the legislature will rethink its 19th century position.

2. Monument Avenue needs to come down, except for Arthur Ashe

Or, do what they did with Ashe, and replace with famous Richmond citizens: Shirley MacLaine and Warren Beatty, GWAR, Aimee Mann, Lucy Randolph Mason, etal....
