elsewhere? dont have cable tv or see anything about it on places like yahoo home page. is this disgusting remark going to just float away unmentioned by all those who support the military and the lives of missing sailors?

(381 posts)The fact that it was a ship named after McCain, coupled with the comments that Trump made, makes it seem extremely peculiar don't you think?
10 American servicemen died in the line of duty and the POTUS says "that's too bad".
Fuck that asshole!

1) Trump hates McVain because his vote made destroying Obamacare impossible
2) The McCain ship is hit
3) Trump's response today to servicemen dying on McCains ship was "that's too bad"
Draw your own logical conclusions.
Trump is a small minded vengeful pig

longship
(40,416 posts)It was named after Sen. McCain's grandfather (and father).
Here: USS John S. McCain (DDG-56).
This warship is named after John S. McCain, Sr., and John S. McCain, Jr., both Admirals in the United States Navy. John S. McCain, Sr., commanded the aircraft carrier USS Ranger, and acted as commander of the Fast Carrier Task Force during the latter stages of World War II. John S. McCain, Jr., commanded the U.S. Navy submarines USS Gunnel and USS Dentuda during World War II. Subsequently, he held a number of posts, rising to Commander-in-Chief of the United States Pacific Command before retiring in 1972. These men were the grandfather and father of Senator John S. McCain III.[2]
Just a minor correction.

(50,271 posts)Maybe he thought John McCain had died. Someone might have told him about the incident, but in one ear out the other. If it's not about him, he doesn't really care.
