An eclipse, the downfall of our tyrant, etc.

Ancient societies didn't know what an eclipse was. It frightened them, it confused them, and it allowed their "wise men" to offer all kinds of explanations.

Some ancient societies believed that an eclipse was an omen which foretold the downfall of kings, emperors, or tyrants.

Today, we know better. But it's really tempting to buy into the superstition that this eclipse will predict the downfall of the current occupant of the White House. However, let's be realistic. We are aware of the reason that an eclipse occurs. We are also aware that everything Trump tweets or says demonstrates that this is a man who has no place in decent society.

Nonetheless, he continues to do everything everything possible to marginalize himself. Do we really need an eclipse to tell us what lies ahead?

Here's a "FACT." Imo, there is no way this man can last in the White House for the next three plus years. It's impossible. Look at the disruption, ugliness, violence and anti-Americanism he's brought down upon us to date. The vast majority of Americans are fed up with his crap and can't take much more of it.

It's up to the Republican Party, or use of the 25th Amendment, to remove him Whichever of them is used, he will be gone long before his term is up. And Republicans will do it for the same reason they're not speaking out now. Losing their jobs. It's virtually guaranteed that Trump will go far enough that the only way they can keep their jobs is to dump him.

(And, yeah. Then we'll have to deal with Pence. But one tyrant at a time.)
