And most times, I can abide.

It is with sadness that I witnessed her fairly recent passing, but I am glad that she never saw the unbearable state of this administration, and what it has propagated. She was a very loving and open minded person.

In an ironic, and sad contrast, it is also a sad thing that her late husband, who was an African American, never lived to see our country's first black president.

I have seen and learned a lot in my lifetime, but never have I witnessed such divisive and hateful evil in this country.
