If Trump pardons for federal crimes doesn't that open the door for state crimes

We know NY is investigating financial crimes by Trump and associates. If Trump pardons Manafort or his son in law for financial crimes and they have to admit guilt to accept pardon, aren't they then opening themselves up for conviction in NY? I suspect only true for money laundering, accepting bribes for political actions in NY, and crimes involving NYPD collusion with FBI to hurt Hillary.

activities are unprecedented so they are playing it by ear often. Most of this fake presidency is unprecedented and everyone is walking around in silent and stunned disbelief half of the time.

But we can't be silent. I am also at a loss where to focus. Each day brings more horrible news which I think is part of the plan. To overwhelm and divide the opposition.

Prior presidents and the DOJ developed a series of guidelines for dealing with requests for pardons so they would be handled in a consistent fashion. Trump ignored the system altogether.
