So one ounce is one sixteenth of a pound. 9 trillion tons is 9 trillion times 2000 pounds times 16 ounces or 288 quadrillion ounces.

The best precipitation model apparently had predicted 60 inches of rain over the area. I guess we will miss that, at least in most areas. But that amount of rain is said to be a one in one million year event.

Maybe global warming is at play here? Or maybe we're just really unlucky these non warmed days.
