Six months from now....

Congress will be in the midst of a fierce election campaign, which hopefully flips the House, at least.

Nothing gonna get done next year.

1. and they will have done nothing about DACA

Will the Trumpies start rounding up the kids then?

I feel a huge rock in my gut right now.

2. Oh, I hear you...

I'm hoping that maybe they at least can grant a further extension until 2019.

3. I live in a small town that is half Latino

I have no idea if there are undocumented here - I never ask. Although based on what my friends tell me, it may be substantial.

We worked with a program to tutor kids for @ 10 years in town (age has removed us).

But I can imagine that there are shock waves going through the school system and the local factory right now.
Surely most of Latino background know undocumented and DACA kids.

Feels like I have been kicked in the stomach by some jack booted Nazi.

4. DACA are only "kids" when compared with old farts like me...

Most of them are young adults and essentially millenials, people in their 20-30's. It's more likely a DACA kid is teaching those children than one of them.
