Would definitely purchase the second one if I lived in a place where electricity is limited.

I've got the jack for my car, but it doesn't do a very good job of charging.

charges fast and charges 5 things at one time (which I don't do). It's got a base for charging and then the brick that you can take with you. I keep telling a friend to get one of these because she is NOTORIOUS for having no charge left on her phone and the kids took her charger, etc. when we are trying to get together and she can't text or call. I swear I thought one of our other friends was going to jump out of her skin last time this happened (last week!) Even if you are running late and forgot to charge, you can grab the brick and go.

We can't believe how fast this thing can charge a kindle.
