If any of my 211,000 followers is near Hurricane Irma, can't get away, and needs to charge a phone, this could be a lifesaver:

(130 posts)They keep charge for a very long time and will do about 3 full charges; and quickly.
We also have one of these:

This thing will do around 11 full charges on a phone. Also keeps its charge for a very long time.

(25,595 posts)Would definitely purchase the second one if I lived in a place where electricity is limited.
I've got the jack for my car, but it doesn't do a very good job of charging.
Phentex
(16,334 posts)charges fast and charges 5 things at one time (which I don't do). It's got a base for charging and then the brick that you can take with you. I keep telling a friend to get one of these because she is NOTORIOUS for having no charge left on her phone and the kids took her charger, etc. when we are trying to get together and she can't text or call. I swear I thought one of our other friends was going to jump out of her skin last time this happened (last week!) Even if you are running late and forgot to charge, you can grab the brick and go.
We can't believe how fast this thing can charge a kindle.
