Kirk Cameron says God sent hurricanes to teach us 'humility'

Kirk Cameron thinks he has these hurricanes all figured out.

The former Growing Pains star and evangelical Christian has taken to Facebook to post a finger-wagging message that assumes God sent the incredibly destructive and devastating Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma as divine punishment for our collective sins and to teach us “humility.”

...please shut the fuck up. Take your evangelical voodoo and go sit in the corner. It's called a hurricane. It's also called "human-affected climate change." It is NOT an act of god and the only lesson it should be teaching us is that we to deal with our planet and its environment or it will deal with us.

Satan made you spew that crap about the hurricanes; and

Jesus loves you, but everybody else thinks you're an asshole.

I can't quite think why. Maybe it's from an old book or something? Perhaps the kind of book that wicked hypocrites PRETEND to read? And also confuse the hatred consuming them with a deity's love in their heart?

Just brainstorming.

it seems to me the more reasonable lesson is that the world cannot continue to take all the damage we are doing to the climate. The oceans have risen and warmed causing larger more destructive storms. We bring this on ourselves.

We must get serious about climate change and pray it's not too late.
