(25,183 posts)I see that it's very current, the last time reported is 18:30 GMT, which is about 2:30 PM Eastern time, only about fifteen minutes ago as I write this.
I also see that the eye is staying very close to the Cuban coast, I wonder how long that's going to last. It's not impossible for this to veer out into the Gulf of Mexico and, feeding on the warm waters and distance, become an even stronger storm that would hit Alabama and/or Mississippi head on.
