instead of right over Key West because he will be on the second floor and hoping the roof stays on if it does.

Right over Key West also makes it likelier to be a Gulf storm, still crashing into Florida but stronger and a lot harder to predict.

What makes this stinker different is its sheer size, 400 miles across. Jose is a Category 4 but only about half the size.
