(19,460 posts)The problem is, many doctors are no longer taking Medicare. We have 14 doctors in our county, only one takes Medicare and he says if a Medicare for all Plan passes, he will stop taking it. That means, we would have to drive 40 miles to see a doctor.

(17,340 posts)I retired a few years early at 54 so I must buy my own insurance. In my location (southern Arizona) there is only one option called Healthnet as Blue Cross pulled out last December. It costs $650 a month. Unfortunately my doc of 32 years doesn't take Healthnet. Now, I'm not complaining I am good living with the inconvenience and high cost since Obamacare allowed so many millions more to have insurance. But, as soon as Medicare is available for all I am signing up no matter what it is called!

(21 posts)We simply used this to our advantage. Name it that from the get go and his dumb ego will love it, which would in turn encourage him to sign anything put in front if him.
