House Speaker Paul Ryan on Sunday defended President Trump from allegations of racism amid his criticisms of NFL players who kneel during the national anthem. I know his heart's in the right place, Ryan said on CBS Face the Nation, referencing his displeasure with the presidents reaction to the Charlottesville white supremacist rallies. Ive had some candid conversations with him about this. Last year, Ryan rebuked Trump for his attacks on a Mexican-American federal judge, calling the attacks the textbook definition of racist remarks.

(25,111 posts)"IF" they even had such conversations - such BULLSHIT!!!!
Really, can you imagine trying to have a reasonable conversation with that dolt (I mean Orange Cheat-o, of course)?
His attention span is WAY too short (OK, add anything else here too, if you want!) and he has no background or understanding of the issue (or, ANY ISSUE, for that matter!).
Trump's social and intellectual ignorance is astounding - and the Republican "defense" of him is even more so.

(19,066 posts)These assholes are supporting a President they absolutely know is a White Supremacist and likely a Neo Nazi. History will remember them.
Everything Trump is doing is because he's a White Supremacist. He wants to purge the country of minorities.

(47,953 posts)That comment was said by a man who has stated that he had been dreaming of cutting Medicaid ince his days drinking from kegs in college. So his heart and Trump's are pretty similar.
Now the rest of us might say they both are soul-less bastartds.....
