Joe Scarborough: Donald Trump 'Is a Mean Man, He's Crude, He's Brutal, He's Insulting'

by Colby Hall | 7:43 am, October 3rd, 2017

Joe Scarborough wants viewers to know that we are living in very different times. How different?

While the political landscape may have seemed particularly divided in the past, Mr. Scarborough reveals that he would always calm the frayed nerves on either side of the aisle — whether it was his mother or his friends on the Upper West Side. But things are different now under President Donald Trump.

Scarborough opens the clip above by soberly, and sadly, stating that can no longer tell his friends and family that things will be okay because he holds the sitting president in such low esteem. “Donald Trump is not a kind man. He’s a mean man. He’s crude. He’s brutal. He says horrible things. He’s insulting.” In other words, everyone freak out.

It’s not terribly surprising that Morning Joe would provide such hyperbolic and harsh criticism of the sitting president, which has become something of a hallmark of his show in the past year. And most of the criticism has been fair.

and, of course, to consolidate and grow the power.

Scarborough's various themes are probably pretty good indicators of strategies planned at top levels. Right now it's that Republicans are too good and moral to accept Rump, that he does not represent Republican "values."

For a number of reasons, including the Russian investigation, Scarborough's not talking about Pence. Yet. The time to build up the Koch's choice for Rump's replacement, Pence or their spare, will come later.

And, of course, who could forget Scarborough's roll-out of the Koch brothers' new image as just-normal-guys who only want the best for their country? If Scarborough does plan to run for office again, I expect he will win handily.

he was that way on the campaign trail and the media ate it up. They showed him 24/7 and let him get away with all of his mean, crude behavior. Ratings are all they cared about and made sure we never forgot Hillary's emails.

Joe’s complaining is nothing more than grandstanding and lying.

Mika wasn't so sure. She related how many calls she was getting from friends who were crying and freaking out.

(Joe stated several times he did NOT vote for DJT. He's never said, as far as I know, who he did vote for, if anyone.)
