I still see those planes flying into the buildings.
I know this is not the same but it just captures the disaster that is this presidency.

Chris Matthews said the same thought on his show today about the broken windows. It is really eerie isn't it? That photo of the plane is extraordinary.

Oct 2017

I noticed a crowd gathering across the street behind a parked car. Up about 8 floors, a window was open, the light was on showing the orange walls, the white curtains were blowing out the open window. I didn't go over to see the dead woman, I didn't need that. The open window was enough to tell as tragic story.

I wonder what Mandalay Bay will do with it now. It's hard to see the hotel just repairing the damage and returning to business as usual, with other guests staying in that suite, but permanently retiring a large luxury suite would be a financial hit.

As sick and twisted as it is, they could probably turn it into a tourist destination. I suspect what they will do is to remodel it and turn it into two rooms or something. Probably wait a while though.

Let's assume that the hotel management is strictly from commercial and that "sick and twisted" wouldn't bother them at all. The problem is that making it a tourist destination would mean admitting hordes of non-guests to the hotel and letting them tramp up and down that corridor to see the suite. Word would get around and nobody else would want to stay on that floor, rendering the whole floor (or at least that wing of it) useless.

Your idea of remodeling makes sense. I also agree that, whatever they do, they'll wait a while.

fuel, but fortunately his bullets didn't pierce the tanks. But as soon as they can, the Reps will pass a law allowing armor piercing bullets, so the next time the killer can get the massive explosion he wants.

When Trump accepted the GOP nomination:

"I have a message for all of you: the crime and violence that today afflicts our nation will soon come to an end," he said. "Beginning on January 20th, 2017, safety will be restored."
