Ivana Trump: POTUS Offered Me Czech Republic Ambassadorship

by Joe DePaolo | 12:32 pm, October 5th, 2017

President Donald Trump’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, and son-in-law, Jared Kushner, both have prominent — if ambiguous — roles in the current administration. And now, another Trump family member is claiming that she too could have been part of the team, if she wanted.

In an excerpt of an interview set to air on CBS Sunday Morning this week, Ivana Trump — the President’s first wife — claims that her ex offered her the job of Ambassador to the Czech Republic.

“I was just offered to be the American ambassador to Czech Republic,” Ivana said (the comment is in a portion of the interview not included in the clip above, but transcribed via CNN). “And Donald told me, he said, ‘Ivana, if you want it, I give it to you,'”

Ivana said she turned down the appointment because of the constraints the job would have placed on her time. “I like my freedom,” she said. “I like to do what I want to do, go wherever I want to go with whomever I want to go.”

I know in the past if you were patriotic you didnt do nepotism if you were the president.

Now that no rules apply at all to any republican anywhere ever, what is the rule?
