(31,121 posts)Not that it matters, half the country wont believe it and Trump will pardon himself, but it does matter in that I want to see just how guilty they all are.
Just how much treason they committed.

(11,746 posts)Seriosly, "conservatives" aren't invincible and #fakepresident has always been a loser. There is no upside in elevating them. Fascism never works out. Fascism is subversive and ends up failing because of its internal flaws.
This iteration will fail too.

(31,121 posts)For me it is about not underestimating how crooked trump is and how vile his followers are.
But, I am very hopeful and you my friend are correct.

(11,746 posts)Maybe we will get lucky this time and our erstwhile friends will work with us instead of undermining us?
Of course they will never own their undermining. That's too much to ask. But if they ease back on the sowing of discord and discontent.... a fella can dream. Right?

Information from Christopher Steele, a former MI-6 officer, could help investigators determine whether contacts between people associated with the Trump campaign and suspected Russian operatives broke any laws.
CNN has learned that the FBI and the US intelligence community last year took the Steele dossier more seriously than the agencies have publicly acknowledged. James Clapper, then the director of national intelligence, said in a January 2017 statement that the intelligence community had "not made any judgment that the information in this document is reliable."

(58,785 posts)the dossier yet, that they run into a barrier around last June they can't follow information past. Umhm. My guess is their statement yesterday was to get their damage-control version out ahead of this news.

(15,805 posts)his investigation was struck because Steele wouldn't speak to them? That tells me that Steel knows Burr cannot be trusted, and if he had the info that Mueller now has, he'd run straight to Trump with it.

So even if he did meet with the FBI, nothing says it was in the US or that he wasnt keeping it quiet.

(111,110 posts)I think that Senator Burr made his comments about the Steele dossier yesterday in his news conference.
He tried to downplay it somewhat, I thought. Now, I think he probably knows about the Mueller information and wanted to soften its impact a little?
