Has anyone in the media followed up with Paul Ryan as to why he told ReTHUG House members

to swear to secrecy when McCarthy told them “There’s two people I think Putin pays: Rohrabacher and Trump,”

A month before Donald Trump clinched the Republican nomination, one of his closest allies in Congress — House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy — made a politically explosive assertion in a private conversation on Capitol Hill with his fellow GOP leaders: that Trump could be the beneficiary of payments from Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“There’s two people I think Putin pays: Rohrabacher and Trump,” McCarthy (R-Calif.) said, according to a recording of the June 15, 2016, exchange, which was listened to and verified by The Washington Post. Rep. Dana Rohrabacher is a Californian Republican known in Congress as a fervent defender of Putin and Russia.

House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wis.) immediately interjected, stopping the conversation from further exploring McCarthy’s assertion, and swore the Republicans present to secrecy.

They are all part of the stolen elections. I think Mueller should ask him some questions.

they are told and almost never ask a follow up question no matter how blatant the lie, how virtually reeking with bullshit it is and defying common sense the answer they received may be. With a few exceptions, it seems like they are afraid of getting in trouble with the powers that be and thus lose their access. Given the power that the media possesses that is truly a recipe for disaster in keeping the American people truthfully informed and we end up with filth like trump running the country into the ground.

Journalists need to decide they're going to speak the truth rather than just repeat the lies people say.

The GOP figured out a long time ago that they could lie like crazy ("Mission Accomplished"! ) And the bothsidesist media would sheepily repeat it.

The media should have said "The truth is that the Iraq War was a failure, that found no WMDs and got thousands of Americans killed, but the president is claiming victory.".

But for some reason journalism schools teach that it's better to give both sides equal time than to speak the truth. I am flummoxed why that is.

The Press for years gave the Flat Earth Society equal time against global warming.

Social Media has made it increasingly difficult to determine the source of news. Shouldn't they have to abide by the same restrictions of the Media who have to have disclaimers such as "This message has been approved by"? They also have to separate the news from opinion. But then the rule of law has been so muddied how can we discern what the rules are?

What would be best is if journalists start caring about what is true.

Not a billionaire-donor-owned Koch caucus republican.

Note that Comey was in a similar boat: a Goldwater republican. And he deregistered from the GOP about 5 years ago. Likely because he saw that the GOP of his youth was twisted beyond recognition.

Anyone who grows up today with views like the 1970s GOP would today be a Democrat.

Some of the older generation still cling to the GOP of their youth.

Searched Manafort aggressively.
Leaked that he's working with NY AG Schneiderman.
Now investigating Trump, money laundering, Russia, and election manipulation.

Mueller has a slew of high powered lawyers who left their white shoe firms to take a HUGE pay cut to work for him. Lawyers don't do that unless something equally huge is in the works.

Mueller has the case of the century. Get ready for fireworks.

And in the meantime, work hard on local politics and work hard to stop voter suppression.

The international movement did not work out so well in world domination. A little rebranding and Putin is dominating Trump for mother Russia. Mueller is the purge for Trump (I hope).
