7. Frankly, I could understand if a President, any President, needed a report. But 45 - maladroit.

I don't really think it would be too much of a stretch to believe that any President might need a report on the person he or she was calling about.

What I don't find surprising about 45 is that he's so bad at this he can't keep a name in mind long enough for a single call. FFS, write it with a big Sharpie on a piece of paper to use during the call; you bumbling, pathetic excuse for a human.

You guys are completely right on the name thing. Unless he knew the person, it's likely every president has a file before him when making such calls. But not to focus on the name of who you're talking to or calling about is inexcusable.

Use a highlighter. Say it a few times before calling. Etc. Anything to keep from looking like complete jackass.
