If this keeps up...

We will only have women as newscasters. Heeeelllo Joy, Rachael and the rest of you fine women that should have been headlining the news a long, long time ago. Bless us, it is our time to be in the drivers seat.

1. I assume you're referring to Halperin being outed (so to speak) of sexual harassment.

I wonder how many other men are now sweating bullets because of things they've done in the past to women in the workplace?

Somehow, I knew the harassment was a big problem, but I just never expected some of these people to come out of the woodwork as perpetrators. This is getting serious, isn’t it? Are we really at a tipping point in this country about this?

On a related note, one time a co-worker and I were on a long trip driving to a meeting. We were just chitchatting about life, etc. She started telling me about when she was much younger and being on a date that got out of hand. Only after much struggle and fighting the guy off did she avoid being raped. At that point, I shared a similar experience I had when I was 18. Our conclusion after talking about the subject and friends who have related similar stories is that “near rapes” are probably more common than we know. Since then I have talked to many women who literally had to fight off a man to stop him from forcing himself on them. And before anyone assumes that the woman encouraged the man, I was NOT on a date. I accepted a ride from a male co-worker after several of us went out after work one night. I just needed a ride back to my car. Instead he drove to a secluded area and proceeded to pull and paw at me and I truly thought he was going to succeed in raping me. He finally stopped but it scared the wits out of me. I never reported it to anybody, but looking back, I should have told someone what he did. I know I was not the only woman he did that to. By the way, he was at least 5 or 6 years older than me if not more.

So when I hear these stories the women are telling about the inappropriate behavior they dealt with, I am not surprised. Not at all.

Predatory behavior, it is a fact. They corner you and intimidate with their size many times. It has happened to most of us at one time or another.

Any one who is in that position of authority should never take advantage of women like they own them. Apologies just make you even more guilty. The way to stop this is don't harass women in the first place. Be cordial and treat everyone with respect, both men & women!

Uh huh...He's a 52 year old -millionaire journalist, but just "now understands" that pressing your dick against the shoulder of a woman sitting in a chair, for instance, might not be well received.

Maybe he'll "understand" more when NBC fires his ass.
