HBO Drops Mark Halperins 2016 Election Movie..

Following allegations of sexual misconduct against journalist and NBC News political analyst Mark Halperin, HBO decided on Thursday not to proceed with collaborating with Halperin on a planned miniseries based on his upcoming Game Change sequel on the 2016 presidential election. “HBO is no longer proceeding with the project tied to the untitled book co-authored by Mark Halperin and John Heilemann on the 2016 Presidential election," an HBO spokesman told The Daily Beast in a statement. "HBO has no tolerance for sexual harassment within the company or its productions.” HBO, which previously turned the first Game Change book on the 2008 election into an acclaimed HBO film, green-lit the new project earlier this year, stating that “we are thrilled to continue our relationship with Mark Halperin and John Heilemann, whose work on their bestselling book ‘Game Change’ set the bar for political reporting and storytelling inside a presidential campaign.” Director Jay Roach and producer Tom Hanks were attached to the planned mini-series on Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton’s race.

Looks like John Heilemann is on his own now. I like John Heinemann, I feel bad for him. I often wondered why Heilemann worked so closely with Halperin, who always struck me as creepy.

had run a terrible campaign. Everyone else immediately jumped on the bandwagon and started repeating it.

In reality, Hillary ran a great race--it just wasn't enough. The entire election was hopelessly rigged by the FBI.

Halperin also joined the Morning Joe gang in the absurdity of demanding that Hillary "take responsibility" for her loss.

I can't imagine why..He's always seemed like a Super capitalist, soulless prick to me..He wouldn't even condemn Trump's heartless phone call with Sgt.Johnson's widow last week, preferring -- Like the rest of Right -- to complain about "politicizing" the issue.:

Too bad those phone calls will start to taper off just before the 2018 elections. She wasn't that sharp to begin with, but the Dems put up with her because of her (pause)...loyalty to the Party.

of this type of behavior. He paid a high price. He also admitted his guilt, and spent fourteen years in therapy.

For some reason, we ended up watching part of the Anita Hill hearings together. He told me, blow by blow, why she was telling the truth. As a woman, I think I was already sensing the truth from her. But he gave me insights I never would have had.

I don't remember his exact words any more, but I will never forget that experience.

This guy was a close family friend. I am not going to say any more about him.

These perverts used their wealth to gain power and status so they could intimidate and exploit people they viewed as less worthy and beneath them. If they have to pay for their actions by losing their wealth and position, maybe there will be fewer women for them to abuse.

that sexually harassing women is a major contributor to keeping women in their place--too frightened and intimidated to insist on equality.

Change the culture of harassment, elevate women's position in the world. That's probably what scares the harassers.

Apologies for stating the obvious--I'm sure this point has been made many times before.
