There was always this quality of "this couldn't really happen", as fun as the plots were. Now real life in DC is way more outlandish than anything Frank Underwood could make happen. Took away some of the show's charm.

Production on season 6 is currently underway. There will be a next season, which will probably air sometime in the spring or early summer, and that will be the conclusion of the series.

but notice they are not even shooting seasons 6 yet, so they could cancel NOW, if they were not so eager to still make money.

Doubtful they scrap it. Honestly I thought season 6 was going to be the end of the road anyway. Now we know that to be the case.
