Because Donnie Jr. is going down right along with Papadopoulos. Jared too. I wonder if Ivanka will wait for Jared, or have him served with divorce papers while he's in the slammer? 'Some people say' she has eyes for Justin Trudeau! She thought she married into money. Jared's financial "empire" is sinking faster than the Titanic.

Christmas around the old Trump Penthouse will be a little tense this year. Lots of clenched teeth and tiny, sweaty palms. he had his son interviewing candidates. I don't recall who the VP candidate was (it was when Trump was even unpopular with the GOP—remember that?). The VP candidate turned it down, like soooo many others did.
He said Donnie Jr. asked him to be VP, and said as VP he'd be doing everything.
The candidate asked, "So what would Trump be doing?"
Jr. replied, "Making America great again."

It's amazing how many GOP folks jumped behind Trump after he was elected—when they began to see they just may be able to get rich from him being in the WH. The GOP is a disgusting group of individuals. You know they are working on cutting ties with Trump as I type this.

A number of people approached for VP turned it down, of course, but perhaps that's part of why those were--as they maneuvered Trump toward someone he'd never choose on his own.

Busting some pumpkins is only prep before getting to the real job that has to be done. Itm, we'll see how well they manage to protect Pence, but they have spares if they need them.

and were against him. Trump was a rebellion by voters against what had taken over control of their party, even though they couldn't put names to it beyond the official leadership. But he's so incompetent, and so surrounded by corrupt amoral incompetents, etc., etc.

It would be very interesting to know if Charles met with Trump during the campaign, instead of just his agents as cutouts, but I kind of doubt it. Nothing was more predictable than this giant legal mess that'll probably take down dozens before it's settled, and Charles probably took extra precautions as he maneuvered. As you say, though, Jr. was involved in getting a VP for his dad.

What we really need to wonder about, though, is why Pence ever agreed to run as Trump's VP. Sure he was facing a tough reelection fight in Indiana, but he had a chance, while Trump was inevitably going to lose and just being associated with him was going to be a massive career-killer, as well as even then possibly exposing everyone to serious legal problems.

But Pence accepted. Why?! What did Pence know and when did he know it? What does Charles Koch know and what have he and his agents done?

But about the current matter, Nixon was taken down and I personally feel the same kind of excitement now. And Nixon was fairly sane, and Trump isn't and I sure as hell want Trump to be gone. (He is a far bigger threat to the world than Nixon was. And Nixon was awful and committed an act of treason to win.)

But Republicans have been bad always. I sure as hell want Dems to investigate the hell out of the Repulicans -- that's not cute but it will save many, many lives and the dreams of all of us.

Democrats -- take names and KICK BUTT!!! This also allows low-information voters to understand the important differences.
