I panicked. My son lives in NYC in lower Manhattan. But he and his wife and my

little grandson are OK. Just got off the phone with him.

Hands still shaking a bit tho.

Reminded me of 9/11 when I couldn't get through to him for a couple of days. Actually, he was a real hero...he had rushed to lower Manhattan when he saw the twin towers come down. He drove a truck with supplies for the first responders to help them go through the burning rubble (he collected ice from bars and restaurants to go to put out burning rubble and people could be saved...

thank god for my family but I feel awful for the people who have lost family members due to this terrorism...

how fearful you were both times. I am glad they are safe. I would worry about my sons, only 65 miles away but at least they are close with each other so we are likely covered with support. Go relax, that had to be a trial waiting to know.

I'm in Midtown, but hubby called with more than a little concern in his voice. All fairly quiet near Times Square, but even more cops than usual. Glad your family is okay. For all of us who were here on 9/11, it brings back some troubling feelings.

That must have been quite a scare. It's terrible that you had to go through this twice.

Touched base with close friend who was in the area, and he's safe.

Fucking scary.

My heart breaks for those who've lost loved ones today.
