When the fuck is the Democratic Party gonna put it's focus

on US, we, the PEOPLE of the United States of America? Every damned day all I hear from Democrats is Trump, Manafort, Page, Flynn, Hillary, Bernie, Elizabeth, Kamala, gripe gripe gripe gripe gripe gripe gripe gripe. Here I am right now griping about all the griping!!

When the fuck are we gonna start talking about jobs, wages, education, healthcare, infrastructure, peace, the planet...you know, the things that really MATTER every fucking day of the year?

Let Mueller do his job. Quit rehashing the fucking primaries. There is not one fucking politician that we elect who can fix what is wrong with America. Only WE THE PEOPLE can do that working together with one another. And we are not doing it.

This country is so fucked.

in 2014 what was the Republican message that helped them win so big? It was "We are not Obama." That's it. No other substance. Of course we must attack Trump who is SO unpopular and attach him to the other Republicans BUT, yes, we also need a loud and clear affirmative message too on good paying JOBS JOBS JOBS, infrastructure, fair taxation, education, healthcare, foreign policy, etc.

You must do BOTH.

about messaging. The MSM when speaking of the Democratic Party has nothing to say about us but that we are divided over power issues. The fish rots from the head down. The Republicans are in a mess, and yet they still control the damned messaging because we suck at it.

With an asshole like Trump in office the Govenor's race in VA should be a damned cakewalk for the Dems. But the Republicans have convinced half the electorate that they will be better off economically with Republicans in power.

Carville was right back in the 90s when he said, "It's the economy, stupid!" We are terrible at showing that we are the ones who will boost the economy. People still vote their pocketbooks!

You’re talking about DU, not the Democratic leaders. I get email everyday from my Democratic senators as well as from the DCCC, DSCC, etc. Not a single one talks about Hillary or Bernie or Kamala. They’re all about policy issues: the dangers of the Republican tax plan, the need to address climate change and pass gun control legislation and protect immigrants.

Turn off the Internet and unplug from the infotainment gossip cable channels. Turn on C-Span and listen to members speak passionately about all the issues you claim they don’t talk about.

And stop blaming Democrats. They’re not the problem. Our insatiable lust for chitter chatter on tv over substance that is actually occurring is the problem. It’s a distraction, as is this thread.

If someone chooses to be an independent and/or not to communicate with Democratic legislators or donate to the party or a Democratic campaign, that's their choice. They don't have your email, so you don't get any. D'oh.

I don't get any emails from Republicans ... ever. (Well, one exception: when a Republican was atypically elected senator in my state for a single term before the populace realized what a mistake that was, I wrote him a protest letter about a particular upcoming vote, and then started getting newsletter emails—I pretty quickly unsubscribed). So the Republicans must suck equally at messaging the masses. They never communicate with me.

To get emails, you have to give yours out. If Independents don't bother to write their congressional representatives, then they won't get email.

All this complaining about the Democratic Party seems suspicious to me. And that's as much as I'll say about it.

The GOP owns it all. Talk is cheap because with the GOP in power, we can do nothing about any of the issues you raised. As for rehashing the primaries...if you are referring to the pushback over Brazile's book, it needs to be refuted as it is an attack on the DNC...which takes it out of any primary rehashing.

Reminds me of this article which described how Berlusconi was defeated...by focusing on the issues, not the person.

https://mobile.nytimes.com/2016/11/18/opinion/the-right-way-to-resist-trump.html

I fear the Democratic party will never get their shit together as long as it's about individual politicians instead of the issues.
