The more I've learned about the book, the more pathetic and self-serving it sounds. It's even left me wondering if she might be suffering from early-onset Alzheimer's.
I thought the story that came out first made her judgment and thought processes sound off.
But what comes across in today's Washington Post article
https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/brazile-i-considered-replacing-clinton-with-biden-as-2016-democratic-nominee/2017/11/04/f0b75418-bf4c-11e7-97d9-bdab5a0ab381_story.html
shows a delusional sense of her own power and importance, paranoia toward both other campaign staffers and unseen enemies ("Brazile writes that she was haunted by the still-unsolved murder of DNC data staffer Seth Rich and feared for her own life, shutting the blinds to her office window so snipers could not see her" ), and more very questionable thought processes, for instance: "On Sept. 9, she saw the nominee backstage at a Manhattan gala and she seemed wobbly on her feet and had a rattled cough. Brazile recommended Clinton see an acupuncturist." I'm a great believer in holistic medicine when it's likely to be helpful, but honestly, that has to be one of the dumbest suggestions ever.
She refers to Obama, Clinton and Wasserman Schulz as "titanic egos" who had used the party "for their own purposes." I'd call her describing them that way a perfect example of projection.
And I thought this paragraph of the WP article was especially revealing, though not in the way Brazile intended:
There's the paranoia again. She thinks he's a spy.
But look what she's most concerned about. NOT any particular decisions she's making or actions she's taking.
She's worried that he sees her as "crazy" and "senile" and "nutty."
Which to me suggests that she's actually worried on some level that she is coming across that way.

Why, I wonder, did she send the debate questions to a campaign that she believed so deplorable?
