It's hard to sift through the online crap, especially Twitter.

(45,485 posts)Gillespie has more signs, Northam has more mailings and commercials. Gillespie's ads are all attack ads, while Northam takes the high road in 75% on his ads. The huge early vote in Northern Virginia is encouraging.
In my area of Northern VA, the signs out are heavily Democratic, along with those for perennial county candidates.
I think the Latino activist group went too far in depicting a Gillespie-stickered vehicle chasing kids. It handed a talking point to the local RW radio outlet (which features Limpbaugh and those of his kind).
However, I don't like the idea of a cool afternoon rain. This could dampen (pun now intended) turnout, especially amongst those not using a car.
We NEED turnout.
The two latest announced polls:
Trafalgar Group (R) Northam 49 Gillespie 48
Gravis Northam 48 Gillespie 43
BUT the Real Clear Politics 6-poll average shows an average lead of 1.8:
Northam 46.9 Gillespie 45.1
I don't like that. Too much chance, given past results, of Gillespie turnout maybe exceeding that of Northam's.
The lieutenant governor and attorney general races are also right.
