Why are authorities scrubbing the Texas church shooters social media?

Sources: TX church shooter now ID'd by authorities; white male in his 20s from outside San Antonio.

Authorities are now scrubbing his social media; on Facebook in recent days, he showed off an AR-15 style-looking gun.

I assume you mean scouring, rather than scrubbing.

No, they’re were scrubbing his Facebook page which has now been deleted

I've seen Facebook and Twitter accounts taken down before. In all honesty it is probably a good practice since it will protect all the people mentioned in those feeds.

It was probably taken offline by Facebook per legal request.
