I think we'll find out that religion had nothing to do with this.

I'd bet dollars to donuts that he's talking about Protestants only. It's perfectly OK to attack Roman and Orthodox Catholics - and Mormons. Those are not "real" Christians.

Second: Christians in the USA are not in any way shape or form persecuted. They are the fucking majority for Christ's sake. No pun intended.

Third: Sadly far too many Christians these days are hateful. So maybe that's why people tend to not like them much. That and their jokes suck.

That's a violent combination. I suspect we'll find he was right wing as well, but don't know for certain. He's from an area that heavily supports GOPers and Trump. I hope they find why he chose a church.

Some Christians never EVER lose the opportunity to play the victim. In this case, even Greg Abbott should understand that a guy who taught Bible school is probably a Christian, but it was just too tempting for him to whine about how persecuted Christians are.

to the Fort Hood shooting as that happened today eight years ago (and Muslims!). I was afraid to post this since I was criticized for bringing up insanity that Fox was trying to argue about a different issue so I was hesitating to bring this up and condemn them for their blatant fuckery.

I am glad that you posted this as this is a terrible tragedy, and Fox is the WORST when it comes to instant politicizing of an incident like this -- the killer is white and ex-military and taught bible school but yeah this about Fort Hood (wtf -- anything to link it to Muslims -- total insanity) and "hatred of Christians." Guy at the Texas news conference just said "media, don't say this shouldn't happen because it does happen" (what does that mean?). He was law enforcement.

When the facts come out, I'm sure the truth will be quite different here too. Not that I expect any of these asshats to apologize.

As for the hate for Christians, they have brought most of it on themselves.

That guy hated liberals, and went to a church to kill them.

Was that about "hating Christians" too?
